Drew Weber recently submitted an article to the Missouri Municipal League Review entitled “The Odd Couple: Interplay Between Homeowners Associations And Municipal Governments.” The article examines the interplay between homeowners associations and municipalities, with a particular emphasis on the enforcement of aesthetic or architectural standards that are contained in restrictive covenants and zoning regulations. In particular, the article offers insight with respect to the scope of authority of homeowners associations and municipalities, and how that authority may overlap.

Drew’s experience representing municipal governments and homeowners associations has provided him with practical insight into these issues.

Drew’s article was published in the March/April issue of the Missouri Municipal League Review and is available here: http://www.mocities.com/?CurrentIssue.
